5-man band sharing apartment?

This question originated from my moms bitching and moaning. We had the idea to get our selves an apartment/ practice area for the band where we'd equally pay our shares of the rent. But two of us are still in highschool but next year(senior year) when I turn 18 I'm gonna try to get a job, as will they and for two years we will save our money for an apartment. Now as an example we all have a job at mcdonalds. Would we be able to support ourselves on that with cut backs like low energy consumption and stuff like that?
