It's not wordy at all. Your using a more elevated vocabulary and theres nothing wrong with that. Of course the level of vocabulary used in the work is influenced by thel target audience. But if your shooting for a high-elevated scholarly tone, be careful to try and sound like a fool with some of that vocab though. Good job. :)
